Pipil was the first large scale project I (J.L.) was significantly involved at through all aspects of water supply, Fertigation, Climate control and drainage water disinfection. It was meant to be a Bool-tomato project, but quickly converted to Bell-Pepper project once found that the local weather does not fit for that variate of Tomato.
We started that project with Rizkalla brothers only 8 years after the Salvadorean civil war ended and its scars were still deep at this time. I was present at the site for 3 month and visited there again several years later.
